это очень смешно, на многих разных уровнях. когда-то давно, в конце 1970х или там начале 1980x IBM очень опасалась, что с ними поступят как с AT&T. это была одна из причин они так усиленно помогали подняться Микрософту и Интелу. Intel вообще был на грани в какой-то момент, но IBM напряглась и спасла их.
теперь конечно IBM стала настолько irrelevant, что они не боятся покупать Red Hat. хотя зачем его покупать, тоже не очень ясно. что такое есть таинственное у Red Hat'а, чего нет у CentOS да или у любой другой нормальной дистрибуции
